Batangas City, Philippines — The Philippine Cable and Telecommunications Association (PCTA) successfully concluded the PCTA Connectivity Roadshow Luzon 2026 on May 15, 2026, at Pontefino Hotel, Batangas City, bringing together industry leaders, partners, stakeholders, and professionals from the cable and telecommunications sector for a productive day of learning, collaboration, and industry engagement.

Organized in partnership with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) Region IV-A, the event underscored the shared commitment of both organizations to strengthen connectivity, support regulatory compliance, and promote innovation within the telecommunications industry. The roadshow was made possible through the generous support of its official sponsors—Total Information Management Corporation (TIM), Globe Business, and Ruijie–Powernet Edge Solutions—and was co-presented by The Philippine TECH SHOW and PCTA Internet Exchange.

The event featured two major components: the Executive Cable Conference and the Technical Seminar, both designed to address current industry developments and provide valuable learning opportunities for participants.




The Executive Cable Conference, brings together key executives from Cable TV, Telecommunications, and internet service providers. Registration commenced at 8:00 AM, followed by the official program from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The conference focused on timely and relevant industry matters, particularly developments surrounding the Konektadong Pinoy Act.
 


A key presentation was delivered by NTC Region IV-A Regional Director Engr. Rolando D.S. San Luis, who discussed the Konektadong Pinoy Act and provided updates on its implementation in Region IV-A. His presentation also highlighted compliance requirements and regulatory obligations, equipping participants with a clearer understanding of the evolving telecommunications landscape and the responsibilities of industry stakeholders.


 


Further enriching the conference discussions, Globe Business presented its cybersecurity initiatives and emphasized the importance of strengthening digital security as connectivity continues to expand nationwide. The session provided participants with valuable insights into emerging technologies, cybersecurity strategies, and the future direction of connectivity in the Philippines.

Running simultaneously, the Technical Seminar welcomed participants and served as an engaging venue for technical discussions and practical learning. Registration also began at 8:00 AM, while the seminar proper ran from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The seminar featured presentations from industry experts who addressed key technical and regulatory concerns. Mr. Egie Gutierrez of Total Information Management Corporation (TIM) discussed the Konektadong Pinoy Act and its implications for the industry. Complementing this discussion, Ms. Martin Mondejar, likewise from TIM, tackled compliance requirements related to the Konektadong Pinoy Law and explored cybersecurity concerns relevant to cable and telecommunications operators.


To further enhance participant engagement, the Technical Seminar included interactive activities and presentations prepared by the speakers. These sessions encouraged knowledge-sharing and practical learning, enabling attendees to better understand evolving technologies, regulatory frameworks, and operational best practices.
