MISSION

The PCTA continuously works hard to attain its three-fold mission:

MEMBERSHIP PROFILE

The PCTA's membership roster includes the biggest cable operators in the country as well as the medium and small cable operators who, through their pain-staking efforts, have succeeded in bringing up-to-date programs, information, and technology to the farthest islands of the country. Together, the PCTA member-cable operators account for 85% of the total cable subscribers in the Philippines.


PCTA MEMBER BENEFITS

  1. Opportunity to participate in industry meetings to discuss relevant issues, existing and proposed laws, policies, rules and regulations that affect the members of the industry through the various Regional Fora of the PCTA.

  2. For regular members, the opportunity to take part in the annual election of the Board of Directors of the PCTA.

  3. The latest news and information about the association and the cable industry courtesy of the Cable Line, the bi-monthly magazine of the PCTA.

  4. Opportunity to participate in the year-round Technical Seminars conducted by the PCTA Technical Committee in coordination with experienced resource speakers and industry professionals.

  5. Discounts at the annual PCTA Cable Convention and Technical Seminars.

  6. Assistance on technical matters provided by members of the PCTA Technical Committee.

  7. Assistance from the Secretariat in renewing or securing MTRCB licenses.

  8. Assistance from the Secretariat staff in the processing of tax credits from the PIA.

  9. The use of the PCTA library which contains the latest books and periodicals about the cable television industry here and abroad.

  10. The opportunity to make business contacts throughout the country and Asia.

PCTA MEMBER CLASSIFICATION

A. Charter members

B. Regular members

Any corporation, firm, or entity which is a franchise grantee and/or authorized by the government to operate at least a cable television system in the Philippines and which becomes a member of the association after the approval of its by-laws. Regular members have a right to vote.

C. Affiliate members

Any person (juridical or natural) but who is profoundly interested in the progress and development of the cable television industry. Affiliate members are not entitled to vote.

D. Individual members

Any person engaged in the cable television industry in a managerial or supervisory capacity and at the time of his application, employed by a Charter or Regular member and must have served his employer at least one (1) continuous year prior to his application. Individual members are not entitled to vote.

Regular Members

NCR and 1st Class Cities             - PhP10,000

2nd Class Cities                           - Php 7,000

3rd Class Cities                            - Php 5,000

1st and 2nd Class Municipalities  - Php 4,000

3rd Class Municipalities                - Php 3,000

Note: Fees are based on DILG area classification list

Affiliate Members

Philippine-based - PhP 5,000.00

Outside the Philippines - US$ 300.00
