The Search for Miss PCTA 2009 is On!
Beauty pageant is a common fixture in our country which is blessed with beautiful, charming, and intelligent women. Every aspect of womanhood has been celebrated through competitions of all sorts and through various media. Looking for the best among equally stunning candidates, beauty pageant habitués have learned to accept that only one can win eventually.
Aiming to effectively promote the different CSR activities of the association, the PCTA recently announced the first ever search for Miss PCTA 2009, a nation-wide search for a goodwill ambassadress of the cable TV industry. All throughout the months of November and December, the Screening Committee will start their work to select the top three contestants per region. The Elimination Round will be held in January and February until the top 15 candidates have been chosen. The activity will culminate on March 12, 2009 when the winner will be chosen and awarded during the PCTA Fellowship Night at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.
The competition is open to all single female, 18-25 years of age, and at least 5 feet 2 inches in height. To qualify, the applicant must also:
- Be endorsed by the cable operator/company in the area
- Be at least a high school graduate
- Never been married and never conceived a child
- Have good moral character and pleasing personality
Interested parties are requested to complete the application form that they may get from their local cable TV operator, and submit it together with their latest close-up and whole body photo. Applicants will be notified by the Screening Committee on the schedule and venue of the preliminary screening.
The winners of the Miss PCTA 2009 search will receive the following prizes:
- Ms. PCTA 2009 - P100,000.00 plus other gifts
- 1st runner up - P50,000.00 plus other gifts
- 2nd runner up - P25,00.00 plus other gifts
- 3rd runner up - P15,000
- 4th runner up - P10,000
The Miss PCTA 2009 winners will be chosen based on beauty (30%), personality (30%), intelligence (30%) and X-factor (10%).
