President Wong, in his inaugural message, expressed his wish to make a meaningful difference especially to small cable operators like himself. "In a way, I feel that in the scheme of things, probably true with respect to any society or any association, the preponderance of attention and service should favour the small and the weak", he said.
For his part, NTC Commissioner Canobas lauded "… the PCTA's commitment of maintaining a strong and resilient cable industry amidst the global challenges they are facing at this time". He also expressed his appreciation to the PCTA "… for actively participating in the work of the NTC in addressing the issues affecting the CATV industry and the performance of the commission's mandate of regulating and charting the direction of cable television in the country."
Ms. Cristina Mariano of Hi-Tech Cable ably hosted the evening's program, while SJT Strings provided musical entertainment throughout the night.
