PCTA Golf Tournament 2009
A traditional event to usher in the annual PCTA Convention, the PCTA Golf Tournament was held last March 22 at the Riviera Golf Club in Silang Cavite. The golf session began with a ceremonial tee off led by NTC Commissioner Ruel Canobas, PCTA Convention Chairman Philip Chien, and PCTA President Allan Dungao.
The sold-out event featured 36 players from various cable companies as well as program and equipment supplier companies. Now on its 12th year, the tournament provides a fun venue for the cable industry stakeholders to come together and renew their friendship. To provide inspiration to the players, the 10 candidates of the first-ever Ms. PCTA search were on hand to cheer them on.
Companies that sponsored the event were ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation, ACCION, AXN, AXN Beyond, Animax, Bloomberg Television, CNBC, Global Destiny Cable, Inc., Pancake House, Parasat Cable TV, PLDT, Satellite Cable Networks, Inc., Sky Cable Corporation, The Network Parts, and Teriyaki Boy. The raffle prizes during the awarding ceremony were donated by Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN), Amity Satellite Systems, Inc. and Conax As, one of the Silver Sponsors at the PCTA Convention.
During the awarding ceremony, Golf Tournament Chairman Jose Lobregat thanked all the sponsors and participants for making this year's event another successful one. The complete line-up of winners in the three divisions is as follows:
