A Landmark Event
Amidst heightened anticipation by both industry stakeholders and watchers, the Philippine Cable Television Association (PCTA) staged another successful annual convention last March 11 to 13, 2009 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. The 17th PCTA Convention showed that it had so much more to offer than previous editions, another proof that the PCTA is constantly working and endeavoring to make the convention even better year after year. With the support of the entire PCTA Board, Convention Chairman Philip Chien and the PCTA Convention Committee truly lived up to everyone's expectations.

PCTA Golf Tournament 2009
A traditional event to usher in the annual PCTA Convention, the PCTA Golf Tournament was held last March 22 at the Riviera Golf Club in Silang Cavite. The golf session began with a ceremonial tee off led by NTC Commissioner Ruel Canobas, PCTA Convention Chairman Philip Chien, and PCTA President Allan Dungao.

A Red Carpet Event!
The PCTA Fellowship Night literally rolled out the red carpet to welcome all the delegates and participants to the convention. Co-presented with Solar Entertainment, the night focused on the first-ever Search for Ms. PCTA. Ten lovely candidates representing the different regions of the country paraded and mingled with the attendees to solicit their votes early in the night. Tops Cablelympics 2009
Dindo R. Amoyo, a cable technician of Negros Cable TV, topped the Cablelympics 2009 in the recently concluded 17th PCTA Convention last March 13, 2009 held at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. As such, Mr. Amoyo was awarded a gold medal and cash prize of Php 5,000.00.
